In the last
article, I described other ways in
which you can use an ads tracking program for your online business
endeavors.
Here are 3 more important uses of an ads tracking program.
1. In most
cases a tracking URL is a lot shorter
than the original affiliate URL or even your website, especially if
they are
pointing to pages that are buried inside two or three folders on your
site.
Tracking URLs are usually the same length and are shorter than the URLs
they
are replacing.
2. You can
learn about your visitors' movements.
If you use
tracking
links in place of all your website links, you will be able to see where
people
go when they arrive on your website. Since those stats include timestamps,
you will be able to follow the path your visitors take through your
site and
this will tell you which links are attractive to them and which are not.
If you make a
couple of similar web pages with
just one element of difference between them, use ads trackers to track
every
link (with a different set of tracking links on each page), and load
the two
pages onto a rotator, you will be able to test which format is more
popular
with your visitors.
The time stamp
will allow you to monitor your
ads to see whether they have been submitted and removed at the right
time or
indeed, whether they are being shown at all.
3. You can earn
commissions from your ads
tracking program.
It is very nice
to think
that you could also make some money from your ads tracking program by
joining
its affiliate program, if it has one. Most do and this can provide a
decent
monthly income. Make sure everybody knows that you are actually using
the ads
tracking when you write a review of it, and make a point of using the
ad
tracker tracking links to promote the ad tracker sales page.
In this
way, you should soon be able to earn commissions the cover the cost of
the ads
tracking program that you’re using.
